Dr. Paley is the most experienced limb lengthening surgeon in the world, performing limb lengthening surgery since 1986. Dr. Paley was the first person in the US to perform the Ilizarov method, Lengthening over Nail, Albizzia method, ISKD, Precice and STRYDE nails. He is the surgeon designer of the Precice and STRYDE nails. He is the most published and best known limb lengthening surgeon in the world and has performed more than 20,000 limb lengthening surgeries. He founded the Paley Orthopedic and Spine Institute at St. Mary’s Medical Center in 2009. Dr. Robbins who was trained in limb lengthening by Dr. Paley has been performing limb lengthening since 2005.
